SpoCon 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 It took a long time coming (and waiting) since MisCon, but SpoCon 2010 is finally here, and we are excited! As we begin again with our home convention, we are happy to announce the release of our trio of promotional cards: Luster, a character from Dead Gentleman's Productions' Gamers II: Dorkness Rising played by Jen Page, artwork by Benjamin Honeycutt; her Mage Blade of Fandom, artwork done by Aaron Harris and Steven Vensel; and our third card, SpoCon's mad or adorable Pet Marmot , artwork by Steven Vensel. Seek us out at our booth for autographs, exordium demonstrations, and demos of the pre-release of our campaign deck coming soon to store shelves. We better see you there! |

MisCon Day 3 Posted May 30, 2010 MisCon was very exciting! A special thanks to Cthulhu Bob for putting on a wonderful event and letting us play our game! We are certainly looking forward to next year here in Missoula! Returning to our home convention in July, SpoCon, we have several surprises in store, including, but not limited to, THREE promotional cards, and beta testing our next expansion! Working alongside Dead Gentleman's Production's and the SpoCon chairs, this SpoCon will certainly be one to remember.

MisCon Day
2
Posted May 30, 2010 Our day started early on Saturday, doing demonstrations at noon. From noon to about 6:00 we were busy explaining, demonstrating, and having a lot of fun. Excellent questions arose, and we had fun answering all of them. One of the questions asked was, " How many buildings can you have?" Each deck can only have a maximum of ten temples. You may have multiple copies of any temple, so long as you have no more than ten total. Playing the game so much, we figured out a lot of tricks that we would like to share: 1) If you do the first 3-5 rounds simultaneously, the game moves a lot faster, instead of taking turns. Make sure you name the rounds as you go. 2) Drawing at the end of the turn instead of at the beginning also makes the game go faster, since you can spend your opponent's turn thinking about your move, thus reducing "think time" during your round, and making plays more epic! Several people stopped by to observe. Darth Vader even came by to see what all the commotion was about! Quote of the day: "Oh, so it's like an RTS card game!" Happy Playing! |
